Water Cooled Air Conditioning in Stanhope Gardens, South Kensington

Cool You has successfully implemented an advanced ducted water-cooled air conditioning system in Stanhope Gardens.  The penthouse apartment is located within a grade-II listed building in one of South Kensington’s well-known garden squares.

This project presented a unique challenge due to the building’s listed status. A conventional air conditioning system with an external condenser unit was immediately precluded. Cool You designed and installed a water-cooled internal condenser split air conditioning system to overcome this obstacle. This system comprises three ducted spigots, effectively servicing two bedrooms and aligning with aesthetic and regulatory constraints while ensuring high-performance cooling.

This installation was seamlessly integrated into a broader renovation project. Cool You collaborated closely with the client’s contractors to ensure a cohesive approach. The strategic placement of the internal water-cooled condenser and ducted unit in the loft space allowed optimal bedroom access while maintaining compliance with the building’s preservation requirements.

With an emphasis on minimising operational disruption, the installation was meticulously scheduled and completed within two working days, bypassing the need for planning permission.
