Neville House, Westminster SW1P
The installation of water-cooled condensers to air condition apartments in Neville House, situated in a conservation area
Situated on Page Street, Neville House overlooks St John’s Gardens in the heart of Westminster, behind Millbank. Although a newly built apartment building, it is situated within a conservation area and therefore subject to strict planning restrictions.
The owner approached us precisely because of our expertise in air conditioning apartments within conservation areas. We worked closely with the client to find a solution to air-condition the master bedroom and large open plan living room/dining area/kitchen. Planning restrictions prevented using a standard air conditioning system with an external condenser box.
The only solution available to air condition this apartment was using our A** rated energy efficient DC inverter water cooled internal condensers that allow everything to be retained within the property.
Two water-cooled internal condensers were installed in the utility cupboard (that house the boiler and washing machine). They serve energy-efficient quiet DC inverter high wall units in the open plan kitchen/living room and master bedroom.
Our technical team connected and hid the refrigerant pipework between the condensers and the room units using the ceiling void. There was minimal disruption to the existing decor within the apartment.
No planning permission was required to fit our air conditioning system.
For this project, we installed:
Two 3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter water cooled condensers
Serving:
Open Plan Kitchen / Living Room: 3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit Master Bedroom: 3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
