A tiny shop, Ben’s Cookies features a conveyor oven that bakes the company’s signature cookies and muffins, making it a scorching environment for staff and customers. Because of this, the Operations Director of Ben’s Cookies approached us precisely because of our expertise in air conditioning listed buildings and shops within conservation areas.

Like many similar retail units and buildings limited in space, our water-cooled air conditioning system was the only solution. This system, featuring an internal condenser and a split design, is specifically designed for buildings where an outside unit is unsuitable. It provides efficient cooling without taking up additional space, making it an ideal solution for compact retail units and listed buildings.

Despite the tight working space, our team completed the installation precisely and efficiently. To minimise disruption, the project was strategically scheduled to start at 7 a.m. on a Monday, Ben’s Cookies’ quietest trading time. By 2 p.m. on the same day, the shop was fully operational with a new, efficient air conditioning system in place, much to the satisfaction and relief of the Ben’s Cookies team.

The internal condenser unit which was installed incredibly discreetly just under the counter at the back of the shop, was connected to a 3.8kw Wall-Mounted High-Wall Unit in the sales area.
