Installing Apartment Air Conditioning in Flagstaff House

Cool You UK has recently installed Apartment Air Conditioning in several apartments at Flagstaff House. The building is part of St George Wharf, a landmark riverside development on the south bank of the River Thames.

As with many contemporary apartment buildings, extensive glazing has been used to take full advantage of the spectacular panorama. The views of the river are superb, but the large glass area also generates a lot of heat in this apartment.

The owners wished to install air conditioning to manage the temperature within the apartment. However, the building’s design did not allow them to fit a traditional external condenser box. Also, they were not allowed to drill holes in the external walls for a through-the-wall system.

Installing Apartment Air Conditioning – How We Do it!

The only way to efficiently air condition this apartment was our revolutionary water-cooled air conditioning system that allows everything to be retained within the apartment, using the cold water supply and wastewater pipework.

The water condenser was installed under the kitchen sink and plumbed into the water system. A 7kw/24000btu water-cooled high-wall unit was fitted in the kitchen/living area of the apartment.

We ran the pipework through the ceiling void, allowing it to be hidden. Thanks to the expertise of our installation teams and careful planning, we completed each installation in one day without making a mess or damaging the apartment’s decoration.

No planning permission was required to fit our water-cooled air conditioning system in this apartment.
