The unique challenge we faced was overcoming strict regulations that prohibited the installation of traditional external condenser units or drilling holes in the building’s exterior.
To meet the client’s needs, we installed a cutting-edge internal condenser air conditioning system that required no alterations to the building’s external structure. This allowed us to provide air conditioning for three bedrooms and the living area as part of a complete refurbishment project.
Emphasis on energy efficiency
With a strong emphasis on energy efficiency, we installed small water-cooled condensers in each of the three en-suite bathrooms. We paired them with energy-efficient, quiet DC inverter high-wall units in each bedroom. A more powerful condenser was strategically placed in the kitchen to supply a discreet, hidden ducted unit for the main living room, ensuring a comfortable environment with minimal energy consumption.
Our dedicated engineers worked closely with the client’s contractors to integrate the air conditioning system into the apartments seamlessly. Connecting the refrigerant pipework between the condenser and the room units before the false ceilings were installed ensured a smooth and visually unobtrusive installation process.
No planning permission needed
Notably, our solution did not require planning permission, showcasing our ability to provide effective air conditioning solutions within strict regulatory constraints.
