Another successful air conditioning installation was part of a complete refurbishment of three duplex apartments in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea by Cool You. As part of a complete building refurbishment, this air conditioning installation marks a significant achievement for our team.

61 Harrington Gardens is within the Courtfield Conservation Area. However, this project presented unique challenges due to its historical significance and the strict planning laws that prohibited standard air conditioning systems with external condenser boxes.

Our highly skilled engineering team successfully delivered a robust, customised solution through effective collaboration with the client’s architects and contractors. This comprehensive plan featured a well-coordinated combination of air-cooled mono, multi-split internal condensers vented outside. There was also a conventional external condenser and an efficient heat recovery system. By integrating these components with innovative ducted (hidden) room units that utilise advanced DC inverter technology, we achieved a seamless, fully concealed installation within the building’s structure.

Our design and installation team carefully planned the position of the internal condensing units. Placing these units in the lower ground vault and loft spaces allowed us to ensure a streamlined installation process. The ducted fan coil units were also positioned within ceiling voids, showcasing our strong attention to detail and reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality results.

During phase one, we effectively routed all refrigerant pipework to be enclosed by the contractors. Our team, recognised for its adaptability, harmonised the installation with the contractor’s schedule, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. In the subsequent phase, we successfully installed ducting from the air-cooled internal condensers to the external wall, connecting them through pre-drilled holes that complied with the main contractor’s specifications.

It’s worth noting that this air conditioning installation project progressed without requiring planning permission, further enhancing its efficiency.
