Cooling down apartments in West One House, Fitzrovia, with our fully internal air conditioning systems
The modern residential apartment building, West One House, is located on Riding House Street in the heart of Fitzrovia, close to Regents Park.
The owners wished to have air conditioning, but being in the East Marylebone Conservation Area, they were not allowed to fit a traditional external condenser box. Also, they were not allowed to drill any holes in the external walls of the building.
The best solution to air condition this apartment was our energy-efficient DC inverter water-cooled internal condenser air conditioning system that allows everything to be retained within the apartment.
For this installation, a quad multi-split water-cooled condenser was installed in an airing cupboard. This serviced four energy-efficient quiet DC inverter high wall units in the living/dining room, master bedroom and two further bedrooms.
Our technical team connected the refrigerant pipework between the condenser and the room units using the ceiling void and existing boxing. There was minimal disruption to the existing decor, and all pipework was hidden.
No planning permission was required to fit our air conditioning systems in these apartments.
For this project, we installed:
1 x 8kw water-cooled quad multi-split DC Inverter condenser
This served:
Living Room 1x 3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
Master Bedroom 1x 3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
Second Bedroom 1x 2.6kw (9,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
Third Bedroom/Study 1 x 2.6kw (9,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
