Installing Fully Internal Air Con in Milles Square Apartments, Brixton
This case study details the installation of fully internal air conditioning in the Milles Square apartments in Brixton. Our client’s home was a new south-facing duplex apartment in the Brixton Square development, which consists of 155 new flats on Brixton’s Coldharbour Lane.
Due to its south-facing orientation and large glass area, the apartment experienced excessive heat. The building’s regulations prohibited the installation of traditional external condenser boxes or the drilling of any holes in the external walls.
The most suitable solution was our internal condenser air conditioning system. This system allows all components to be contained within the apartment. As part of this installation, two water-cooled internal condensers were installed in a storage room adjacent to the boiler room. Quiet DC inverter high-wall units were installed in the master bedroom and the lower living/bedroom area.
Our engineers expertly connected the refrigerant pipework between the condenser and the room units, ensuring minimal disruption to the existing decor and a seamless installation process.
It’s worth noting that no planning permission was necessary to install our air conditioning systems in this apartment, further highlighting the convenience and ease of our installation process.
For this project, we installed:
2 x 3.5 Kw DC Inverter water-cooled condensers
1 x cooling wall-mounted unit in the master bedroom
1 x cooling wall-mounted unit in the lower living/bedroom area
