Manhattan Building, Bow E3
See how Cool You installed fully internal apartment air con in the Manhattan Building, Bow
Apartment air con in the Manhattan Building – is it possible? Cool You recently completed an impressive installation of an entirely internal air conditioning system in the historic Manhattan Building, formerly the Bryant and May match factory. This building holds great historical significance. During the 1980s, it was converted into apartments. It is now Grade II listed and is subject to planning restrictions to preserve its historical integrity.
Our specialist installation team swiftly executed the retrofits in a single day!
Our team approached this project with utmost care. Savva, the Managing Director of Cool You, meticulously planned the installation. Our specialist installation team swiftly executed the retrofits, completing each in a single day. This quick turnaround ensured minimal disruption for the owners.
In this apartment, we installed a single internal condenser tucked away in a kitchen cupboard. This strategic placement effectively serves the room unit in the upstairs mezzanine sleeping area. The design is clever. As the cool air flows down, it helps to regulate the temperature in the open-plan living, kitchen, and dining areas.
Apartment air con in the Manhattan Building – what did we use?
Our choice of equipment for this type of apartment is state-of-the-art. We use a water-cooled internal condenser paired with a whisper-quiet High Wall Room Unit. This combination allows for efficient cooling and maintains a comfortable environment throughout the space.
Our solution is effective and respectful of the building’s historical value. Overall, the installation perfectly blends modern technology and architectural preservation.
