    We installed an internal air conditioning (AC) system in an apartment in Fountain Court, Windsor. The apartment is in the Inner Windsor Conservation Area within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Due to the modern insulation and large glass area, the apartment tends to get uncomfortably warm.

    Due to planning restrictions prohibiting the installation of a traditional external condenser box or drilling on the building’s exterior walls, the owners needed help finding a suitable cooling solution.

    To address this issue, we installed a highly energy-efficient DC inverter water-cooled internal condenser air conditioning system within the property. We installed three water-cooled condensers in the boiler room – two in a suspended custom-made cradle system and one at floor level. These condensers supply energy-efficient, whisper-quiet high-wall units in two bedrooms and the living room area.

    Our technical team expertly connected the refrigerant pipework between the condensers and the room units using the apartment’s ceiling void. This allowed all the pipework to be discreetly concealed, resulting in minimal disruption to the existing decoration.

    Notably, no planning permission was required for our air conditioning systems in this apartment, demonstrating the efficiency of our installation process. This was a significant relief for the owners and a clear demonstration of the peace of mind our services can provide.

    For this project we installed:
    2 x 3.5kw water-cooled DC Inverter condensers
    1 x 5.3kw water-cooled DC Inverter condenser

    This served:
    1 x 3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit in the master bedroom
    1 x 3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit in the second bedroom
    1 x 5.3kw (18,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit in the living room area
