This case study looks at Cool You’s installation of air conditioning in an Islington flat. We have since installed air conditioning in several flats here. Highbury Gardens is a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom flats in Islington, London.
Because of planning restrictions, external condenser boxes were not allowed, and holes could not be drilled in outside walls. The solution was our revolutionary fully internal water-cooled air conditioning system. This system overcomes planning restrictions and offers significant benefits. These include reduced noise, improved energy efficiency, and a more aesthetically pleasing interior, as everything is retained within the apartment.
The water-cooled condensers were adeptly installed in the apartments’ hall utility cupboards and seamlessly integrated into the water system, a consistent approach across all projects. Three quiet high wall units were fitted, one in each bedroom and one in the living room, demonstrating the system’s adaptability to different living spaces.
Our water-cooled air conditioning system was installed without planning permission, a testament to its innovative design. However, the property manager was crucial at every stage, ensuring their involvement and the successful approval process.
