As with many contemporary buildings, a lot of glass generates heat. Also, the room that needs air conditioning has a kitchen/dining area.
The owners, faced with restrictions on traditional air conditioning installations, turned to an innovative solution. Unable to fit an external air conditioning box or drill holes in the building’s walls, they opted for our water-cooled air conditioning system. This unique system allowed them to retain everything within their apartment, an effective and inspiring solution.
The installation process was smooth and efficient.
The water condenser was installed in the apartment’s hall utility cupboard and plumbed into the water system. A quiet 3.8kw (13,0000btu) high-wall unit was fitted in the kitchen/living area of the apartment. In this case, the utility cupboard was adjacent to the air-conditioned room. This allowed us to run the pipework through the wall into the high-wall unit. The installation process was smooth and efficient. Our team ensured the system was set up to provide optimal cooling comfort in one working day.
No planning permission was required to fit our water-cooled air conditioning system into this apartment. This saves time and hassle and points to the potential energy efficiency and cost savings our system can offer, a promising prospect for any apartment owner in London.
